The FAB LAB is a unique "Innovation Center" that provides innovators/inventors the knowledge base to take their idea into a prototype product. We provide industry expertise at Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) in engineering and manufacturing who will help you make almost anything on specific technology needed for product prototyping.

We are able to create rapid, proof-of-concept prototyping so inventors/entrepreneurs/students can validate product designs and determine market viability. Current FAB LAB equipment includes:

- Networked workstations and full suite of software tools supporting both open-source and commercial IT environments
Users also have access to the FAB LAB Referral Network; a group of regional specialists who mentor and assist innovators through the process of using the FAB LAB and the process of creating product prototypes. The FVTC FAB LAB is also part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Global Innovation Network. This collaborative group integrates users world-wide with common tools and platforms to facilitate idea exchange. The worldwide network is comprised of educational, research, public sector and business institutions.
